Keeping fit is very important for a healthy lifestyle, but the way you go about keeping fit is entirely up to you. Hiring a Personal trainer is a good way to start, to ensure you embark of your fitness "era" safely. Personally, I've found lifting weights to be my preferred exercise of choice, as nothing feels better to me than to reach a new goal of weight than I couldn't do before. Being stronger doesn't just help out at the gym, but it helps in everyday life, lifting furniture or taking groceries out of the car. The improvements to your body won't go unnoticed either. After dieting and lifting for about 6 months, I was able to lose fifty pounds! Family didn't recognize me, and I was very proud of my new body. Along with lifting weights, I occasionally run as well, but I do my best to keep consistent in lifting as much as possible. And if a gym isn't near you or is too expensive, body weight exercises such as push-ups, pull-ups, sit-ups, or squats will always be available if you need to work out quickly at your own home. Weights are also much less expensive than a good treadmill or elliptical, and will last longer.
